Topic: Playing Cards
I'm trying to remember any family gatherings that didn't ... eventually... call for someone bringing out a deck of cards! While visiting in Buffalo in 1969, we drove out to the LaForte farm (wherever that was)... Aunt Mel, Aunt Mary, Aunt Frances, Mom, Dad, Uncle Jim and I don't remember who else. The Aunts taught us to play "Fan Tan [aka Sevens]" - I got to be very good at it, very fast. That didn't set too well with Aunt Mary... so she started cheating by holding "plays" and claiming amnesia. LOL. Aunt Frances taught me the hardest game of Solitare, too. I've only legitimately won twice in 35 years! That aside, I think I was happiest just being included and not being sent away from the table.
Your turn cousins. Keep in mind that you can change your fonts to something we who wear biofals can read.
